A classic Bordeaux blend from Stellenbosch in South Africa. This wine is characterized by typical Cabernet Sauvignon notes of paprika, licorice, and pepper, as well as intense aromas of blackberries and hints of vanilla; a full-bodied wine with good structure, supple tannins, and a complex finish. Served at 15-17°C, it pairs very well with all hearty roasted or braised meat dishes.

Zwalu, whose name is the Afrikaans word for "new beginning", was the first German-African wine to be launched after the end of the apartheid regime with the oenologist Neill Ellis.

Stellenbosch is by far the most famous wine region in South Africa. The surrounding mountains offer not only a spectacular panorama but also excellent conditions for viticulture. The summers here are relatively dry and hot, and the winters

The Zwalu 2019 is a classic Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Shiraz and 5% Cabernet Franc.

The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small boxes. The harvested grapes are processed gently. After 18-24 days of maceration, malolactic fermentation takes place. The wine then matures for 26 months in French oak barrels.
