The Nahe wine region in Germany is in many ways a paradise for viticulture: Geographically well-protected and geologically a true patchwork, the region has been experiencing an "awakening" for several years, and wines from the region are making a name for themselves among experts.

Riesling is also the leading grape variety in the Nahe – albeit only in the particularly excellent sites. Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir also characterize the landscape, as do Müller-Thurgau and Dornfelder.
