The Nahe wine region in Germany is in many ways a paradise for winegrowing: Geographically well protected and geologically a true patchwork, the region has been experiencing an "awakening" for some years now and wines from the region are making a name for themselves among experts.
Riesling is also dominant in the Nahe region – albeit only in the most outstanding vineyard sites. Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir also characterize the Langschaft vineyards, as do Müller-Thurgau and Dornfelder.
