Lage

The soil at Jaunegg Winery in southern Styria is characterized by calcareous soils, which are particularly advantageous for viticulture. These soils offer excellent drainage, provide essential minerals, and their higher pH level contributes to the balance of the wines. This makes them ideal for cultivating white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Weißburgunder, and Grauburgunder, which thrive in this region.

Rebsorten

Methode ancestrale – the most natural way to produce sparkling wine. In this process, the grape must is bottled during fermentation without filtration. The fermentation continues in the bottle, naturally creating carbon dioxide. The deposited yeast is removed, but a slight cloudiness remains. No sulfur is added. This sparkling wine stands out with its fine bubbles, subtle notes of stone fruits, a beautiful acidity, and is bone-dry (Brut Nature).
