Gallunder Winery spans approximately 10 hectares of vineyards and orchards, producing a diverse range of quality products. The vineyards, which stretch from east to west, host various grape varieties including Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Morillon (Chardonnay), Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Müller-Thurgau, and Zweigelt, all meticulously cared for. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1989, while the youngest was planted in 2012.

In South Styria, there are diverse soil types. The primary soils are slate and limestone. Slate soils retain water and heat, leading to slow grape ripening and the development of mineral-driven wines. Limestone soils are mineral-rich and contribute to the complexity and finesse of the wines. The different soil types impart a layered characteristic to the wines, making them unique in flavor.

Grauburgunder, also known as Pinot Gris, is a versatile white wine with a rich flavor profile. Typically, it presents aromas of ripe yellow fruits such as pear and apricot, accompanied by subtle notes of honey, nuts, and spices. On the palate, it is usually dry to off-dry, with well-balanced acidity that lends freshness, and a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel. A characteristic feature of Grauburgunder is its slightly reddish color, derived from the slightly greyish berries.
