Position

Pinot Noir from the Palatinate region combines elegance with easy drinkability: full-bodied and velvety, with aromas of red fruits (strawberry, cherry, blackberry) plus a delicate almond note. With barrique aging, vanilla and cinnamon nuances often emerge. The Palatinate knows how to make Pinot Noir – fruity, modern, and light.

Grape varieties

Simply put, Muschelkalk (shell limestone) is rock made from the fossilized remains of prehistoric marine life – in the case of Birkweiler, from the Triassic period. In winemaking terms, this often translates to: clear lines, a mineral character, and an acidity that feels "finely integrated" because limestone can buffer acidity.
