Rheingau

Roughly 80% of the total vineyard area in this region between the Taunus mountains and the Middle Rhine is dedicated to the king of white wines. Calcareous, deep soils and a relatively mild climate result in wines with low acidity and full aromas, clearly distinguishing them from wines from the Mosel and Palatinate regions.
