Position

The Wachau is a spectacular wine-growing region along the Danube, with steep terraced vineyards and legendary white wines. On 1,350 hectares, the two grape varieties Grüner Veltliner and Riesling dominate in what is perhaps Austria's most famous wine region – classified into three styles: the light, fruity Steinfeder, the balanced Federspiel, and the powerful and complex Smaragd.

Grape varieties

Neuburger is a rare, indigenous white wine grape variety from Lower Austria – a natural cross between Roter Veltliner and Silvaner with a nutty, spicy-floral character and usually mild acidity. The wines are full-bodied, elegant, and develop fine nutty aromas with age – a true insider tip.
