In Southern Styria, there are diverse soil types, primarily slate and limestone. Slate soils retain water and heat, resulting in slow grape ripening and wines with a mineral character. Limestone soils are mineral-rich and contribute to the complexity and finesse of the wines. The different soil types impart a layered characteristic to the wines, making them uniquely flavorful.
Medium yellow-green, delicate notes of grapefruit zest and some biscuit, a hint of yellow tropical fruit, some passion fruit. Taut, with delicate fruit sweetness, a finesse-rich acidity structure, a touch of white apple and blood orange, mineral finish, good aging potential.
