Beschreibung

The 2023 Marienburg Raffes GG Riesling from Clemens Busch presents itself in a radiant pale yellow with golden reflections that reflect its density and ripeness. In the glass, a captivating bouquet unfolds, comprising cool stone fruit, blackcurrant, lychee, and yellow kiwi, underscored by smoky slate notes, graphite, and a delicate wormwood spice. The nose is stony and refined, almost mystical, hinting at the mineral depth of the grey slate on which the old vines of this higher-altitude parcel between Fahrlay and Rothenpfad are rooted.

On the palate, the wine reveals itself with breathtaking precision: an almost ethereal elegance meets a concentrated, dense texture, supported by vibrant acidity and delicate cassis fruit. Alpine herbs and an almost saline minerality lend the finish an endless length and tension. A monumental Riesling that, despite its power, exudes an almost Buddhist serenity and will age for decades.

Das erwartet dich beim Trinken

A profound aroma of ripe stone fruits, smoky slate and wild herbs, with exotic spice notes adding extra complexity.
Dense and focused with elegant acidity and a mineral aftertaste, the wine is intense yet lean and requires patience during tasting.
Goes well with roast lamb or veal, oriental dishes and hearty vegetarian meals.
