Dr. Wehrheim's 2022 Spätburgunder Siebeldingen Muschelkalk clearly demonstrates the winery's cool and precise winemaking style. The chalk-rich shell limestone soils around Siebeldingen lend the wine a delicate minerality and an elegant, almost saline tension, which is typical for this origin.
In 2022, the Pinot Noir appears particularly delicate and transparent. The wine subtly displays red fruit in the background and thrives much more on its silky structure, fresh acidity, and quiet, Burgundian elegance. Instead of power or extraction, Dr. Wehrheim consciously focuses on finesse and clarity.
The aging in oak barrels remains very discreet and supports the wine's delicate texture without overshadowing its origin. As a result, the village wine appears incredibly precise and harmonious – with cool minerality, fine spice, and a long, elegant finish.
