"Aux Boudots" is one of Nuits-Saint-Georges' most elegant Premier Cru sites, situated directly on the border with Vosne-Romanée. As a result, the site combines the typical structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges with an unusually refined and silky style. The lime and clay-rich soils lend the Pinot Noir a precise minerality and great elegance.
The 2023 vintage presents the wine as open and at the same time incredibly focused. This vintage brings more juiciness and charm than the cooler 2021, yet remains very refined and terroir-driven. Instead of aiming for power or heavy extraction, Michel Noëllat deliberately focuses on balance, transparency, and Burgundian finesse. It is precisely the combination of depth and ethereal elegance that makes "Aux Boudots" so special.
The oak aging remains subtle and exceptionally well-integrated, ensuring that the origin and vintage clearly take center stage. This results in the Premier Cru displaying a very classic Côte-de-Nuits style – silky, mineral, and with a long, elegant finish.
