Champagne

Champagne is synonymous with what is arguably the world's most famous sparkling wine: Champagne production is strictly regulated, complex, and centrally controlled by just a few Maisons. Only seven grape varieties are permitted for the production of genuine Champagne, three of which – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier account for over 99% of the total vineyard area.
