Description
Ewald Zweytick's Sauvignon Blanc Witscheiner Herrenberg DAC 2019 comes from one of the most distinctive sites in Southern Styria and impressively demonstrates the aging potential of great Styrian Sauvignon Blancs. The steep slopes of the Witscheiner Herrenberg and the mineral-rich soils give the wine depth, precision, and an unmistakable terroir character. Ewald Zweytick is one of the quality producers in the region and stands for wines that uniquely combine power and elegance.
The 2019 vintage is complex, concentrated, and remarkably harmonious. With increasing maturity, the wine has gained additional complexity and depth without losing its characteristic freshness. Instead of relying on overt aromatics or pure fruit abundance, it focuses on structure, minerality, and expression. It is precisely this combination of maturity, tension, and South Styrian elegance that makes it so fascinating.
The vinification is carried out with great care and supports the development of the wine without masking the specific characteristics of the site. This results in a Sauvignon Blanc with impressive depth, a fine texture, and a long, mineral-driven finish. The Witscheiner Herrenberg DAC 2019 impressively demonstrates how characterful and long-lived great Sauvignon Blancs from Southern Styria can be.
