Noblet-Gauthier consciously interprets the wine in a classic, terroir-driven style – focusing on balance rather than excessive opulence.
The 2023 vintage appears open and energetic, yet incredibly calm and focused in its structure. The Chardonnay combines fine ripeness with fresh minerality and a very elegant, straightforward structure. Instead of heavy oak usage or broad creaminess, "Mon Plaisir" clearly emphasizes precision, tension, and Burgundian finesse. It is precisely this combination of Meursault depth and freshness that gives the wine its distinctive character.
The oak aging remains subtle and exceptionally well-integrated, ensuring that the origin and vintage take center stage without compromise. As a result, this Meursault displays a very classic Côte de Beaune style – mineral, elegant, and with a long, finely saline finish.
