The “Shape of My Heart” 2020 is named after one of Sting’s most famous songs. Behind this musical connection, however, lies a seriously crafted Toscana Rosso: The cuvée is based on Sangiovese, thus combining one of Tuscany’s classic red grape varieties with the individual style of Il Palagio.
The warm Tuscan climate ensures the grapes ripen well, while the high altitudes and temperature differences between day and night help to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity. After vinification, the wine is given sufficient time to mature, allowing the fruit, spice, and tannins to combine into a harmonious whole.
The 2020 vintage is accessible and at the same time typically Tuscan: ripe dark and red fruit meets Mediterranean herbs, fine spice, and a structured yet supple character. A Toscana Rosso full of character that expresses the connection between Il Palagio, the Tuscan landscape, and Sting’s personal project in an uncomplicated and elegant way.
The Tenuta Il Palagio is located in Tuscany south of Florence and is the winery owned by Sting and Trudie Styler. The historic estate looks back on centuries of agricultural tradition and has been revitalized step by step by the couple. Today, in addition to olive oil and other agricultural products, the estate produces wines that focus on their Tuscan origin and sustainable vineyard management.
