Description
Ried Klaus is one of the cooler and most mineral-driven sites around Spitz. The steep terraces and high proportion of primary rock give the Grüner Veltliner a taut, almost salty character, typical of this origin. In 2024, the wine presents itself as particularly precise and linear, with great tension and fine spice instead of opulent fruit.
FJ Gritsch clearly brings out the characteristics of the site: elegant, focused, and with that cool Wachau style that makes the wine incredibly drinkable despite its depth.
