Description
The Rechtenbach Pfarrwingert is one of the most exciting Pinot Blanc vineyards on the German-French border. The calcareous soils lend the Pinot Blanc a cool, almost salty minerality and precisely this fine tension that is so typical of Jülg's wines. As a VDP.Erste Lage (1G), the Pfarrwingert stands for precise origin character and a significantly more sophisticated style.
In 2023, the wine shows itself to be very clear and elegant. It does not appear loud or opulent, but rather calm, finely structured and incredibly precise. It is precisely the combination of delicate creaminess, fresh acidity and mineral draw that makes it particularly exciting.
The aging process remains deliberately subtle and supports the texture rather than the aromatics. This makes the Pinot Blanc very Burgundian in its nature – focused, cool and with a long, harmonious finish.
