Description
The Fikardos Leonardo 2017 is a full-bodied, ruby-red Cabernet Sauvignon from Cyprus. It captivates with a complex interplay of aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark cherry, plum, chocolate, vanilla, and nutmeg. On the palate, it presents itself as powerful, with balanced acidity and a fine yet present tannin structure, refined by ten months of aging in oak barrels.
The wine has a cellaring potential of up to 15 years and pairs ideally with hearty meat dishes such as beef stew, smoked pork, T-bone steak, or the traditional Cypriot lamb dish Kleftiko. The wine shows its full potential after about 5-15 years of bottle aging – drink now!
