Description
"La Tournelle" from Bouzeron showcases the particularly elegant and terroir-driven side of the Aligoté grape variety. The chalky soils of the Côte Chalonnaise lend the wine a distinctive salty minerality and a cool, precise structure. Noblet-Gauthier consciously works in a classic and restrained manner, making the origin and vintage appear very transparent and clear.
The 2023 vintage is vibrant and energetic, yet incredibly harmoniously structured. The wine combines fine freshness with subtle spice and a very precise chalky tension. Instead of simple fruitiness or superficial lightness, "La Tournelle" clearly focuses on balance, minerality, and Burgundian finesse. It is precisely this combination of freshness and depth that makes the wine particularly characterful.
The aging process remains deliberately discreet and puristic, ensuring that the origin and grape variety remain uncompromisingly in focus. As a result, the Bouzeron exhibits a very classic Burgundian style – mineral, elegant, and with a long, salty-fresh finish.
