Beschreibung
Pinot Blanc from the Jülg winery in the Palatinate. Between the church in Rechtenbach and the edge of the forest, the vines grow on weathered sandstone soils and a bedrock of pure limestone. Here, true rarities among Burgundies thrive – ripe and juicy yellow fruit harmonizes uniquely with superbly integrated acidity. Hand-harvested. Gentle processing. Aged in barriques and tonneaux. Silky aromas of pear and white blossoms. A delicate spiciness testifies to aging on the lees and the oak influence. The palate has a strikingly chalky texture. Long, lingering finish.
Das erwartet dich beim Trinken
It ripens on a thin layer of variegated sandstone and loess over limestone, and smells of ripe apple, pear, and mirabelle plum with subtle hints of nuts and smoke.
Structured and silky with gentle acidity and salty minerality, a complex wine that shows great tension and length.
It pairs perfectly with veal, fish wrapped in bacon, creamy risotto, as well as pâtés and terrines.
