Description
"Terre Brûlée" reveals the particularly powerful yet precise side of Cornas. The steep granite slopes lend the Syrah a striking mineral tension, immense depth, and a structured, terroir-driven elegance. Domaine Lionnet deliberately employs traditional methods with minimal intervention, making the origin and vintage appear exceptionally authentic and transparent.
The 2022 vintage is generous, profound, and incredibly harmoniously structured. The Syrah combines ripe dark fruit with intense spice, smoky nuances, and a silky, concentrated tannin structure. Despite its power, "Terre Brûlée" never seems heavy or overdone, but rather very calm and precisely drawn. It is precisely this combination of monumental Rhône intensity, mineral freshness, and classic Cornas structure that makes the wine particularly fascinating.
The aging process remains deliberately traditional and excellently integrated, allowing the origin and vintage to take center stage without compromise. As a result, this Cornas displays a grand Rhône style – profound, spicy, with a long, powerfully silky finish and exceptional aging potential.
