Description
The Riesling Ried Loibenberg 2024 comes from one of the most famous Riesling vineyards in the Wachau and is one of F.X. Pichler's most expressive wines (learn more about the winemaker). The steep terraces of the Loibenberg and the barren primary rock soils create ideal conditions for Rieslings with great depth, minerality and elegance. For decades, the site has stood for powerful wines with extraordinary aging potential and an unmistakable character of origin.
The 2024 vintage is complex, precise and full of energy. The intense fruit is supported by a lively acidity and a distinctive mineral structure that give the wine tension and expression. Despite its power, it never seems heavy, but convinces with balance, finesse and remarkable clarity. It is precisely this combination of concentration and elegance that makes it one of Austria's great Rieslings.
The vinification is deliberately restrained to highlight the characteristics of the site and the typicity of the Riesling in an unadulterated way. This results in a wine with impressive depth, fine structure and long-term development potential. The Ried Loibenberg 2024 is already captivating in its youth and at the same time has the ability to gain complexity over many years.
