The 2024 Côte de Nuits-Villages is a Pinot Noir that beautifully demonstrates the importance that even the less prestigious appellations hold at Galeyrand. Within the Côte de Nuits-Villages, the Domaine possesses old vines, including parcels in Brochon and Comblanchien. Some of these vines date back to the first half of the 20th century and form an important foundation for the special depth of his wines from this appellation.

The 2024 vintage was exceptionally challenging for Galeyrand, as for many winemakers in Burgundy, resulting in significantly smaller yields. Precisely because of this, consistent selection played an important role. For his 2024 red wines, Galeyrand decided against using whole clusters and fully destemmed the grapes to preserve the clear and fresh fruit of the vintage.

This results in a Côte de Nuits-Villages that goes far beyond a simple introduction to the region. Old vines, small parcels, and Galeyrand's precise working methods lend the wine substance and individuality. The style remains focused on freshness, finesse, and a clear expression of Pinot Noir.

Jérôme Galeyrand came to winemaking as a career changer and founded his own Domaine in the early 2000s. Starting from a tiny first parcel, he gradually developed his business into a small winery with vineyards in various communes of the Côte de Nuits. His working method is artisanal and strongly focused on individual terroirs. In the vineyard, Galeyrand works organically and also uses biodynamic approaches.
