The Fixin “En Vignoy” Blanc 2024 holds a special position. In previous vintages, this cuvée was labeled as Côte de Nuits-Villages Blanc; with the 2024 vintage, it appears for the first time under the Fixin Blanc appellation. This gives even more weight to the specific origin of the Chardonnay grapes. The calcareous soils of the Côte de Nuits give the wine a distinct mineral tension and form the basis for a precise, straightforward Chardonnay.

This wine also reflects Galeyrand's philosophy of not defining white wines by opulent ripeness or heavy oak usage. Instead, the focus is on freshness, clarity, and the combination of substance and mineral structure. Especially the quantitatively challenging 2024 vintage demanded intensive work in the vineyard and a careful selection of the harvested grapes.

This results in a distinctive Fixin Blanc, showcasing a rather rare side of an appellation predominantly known for Pinot Noir. A Chardonnay with Burgundian depth, yet with plenty of energy and precision – and an exciting addition to Jérôme Galeyrand's small white wine production.

Jérôme Galeyrand established his domaine in the early 2000s and is now considered one of the most terroir-oriented winemakers in the Côte de Nuits. His vineyards are farmed organically and supplemented with biodynamic practices. In the cellar, Galeyrand relies on as little intervention as possible to emphasize freshness, structure, and the individual character of each parcel.
