The Pinot Gris Heimbourg 2024 by Albert Boxler (more information about the winemaker) is a powerful yet precise white wine from a special vineyard in Turckheim, Alsace. The steep, lime-rich Heimbourg gives the Pinot Gris its unique personality: substantial body and ripe fruit meet a distinctive mineral tension.
In the glass, the wine appears dense and complex, without losing any of its freshness. Ripe stone fruit and yellow fruits form the aromatic core, accompanied by fine spice and a slightly smoky note. On the palate, it has a smooth texture and noticeable power, which is excellently balanced by freshness and minerality. The long, intense finish underscores the distinctive character of this site. A Pinot Gris with depth and excellent aging potential, it pairs particularly well with heartier dishes.
