Description
The Riesling 2024 from Albert Boxler (more info about the winemaker) is a straightforward and characterful white wine that already shows the typical signature of the renowned Alsatian winery at this entry level. The granite-influenced vineyards give the Riesling a clear mineral tension and, together with the lively acidity, ensure plenty of freshness and precision.
In the glass, the wine initially appears fine and reserved, but quickly opens up with juicy citrus fruit, light stone fruit, and floral notes. On the palate, it is lean and energetic, yet possesses sufficient substance and depth. A slightly salty minerality accompanies the fruit into the long, fresh finish. A versatile Riesling with great drinkability that works excellently both solo and with a wide selection of dishes.
