"Les Goulots" is one of the highest Premier Cru sites in Gevrey-Chambertin, producing Pinot Noirs of exceptional freshness, precision, and mineral tension. The lime- and stone-rich soils give the wine a cool, almost aristocratic structure, which clearly distinguishes it from the more powerful Gevrey styles. Domaine Fourrier consciously interprets the site in a purist and terroir-driven way – focusing on transparency, elegance, and energy.
The 2023 Premier Cru presents itself as incredibly lively and focused, yet deeply and calmly structured. The Pinot Noir combines fine red and darker fruit with subtle spice, silky structure, and vibrant freshness. Despite its concentration, the wine never appears heavy or massive, but incredibly clear and precise. It is precisely this combination of cool tension and Burgundian finesse that makes "Les Goulots" particularly fascinating.
The aging process remains deliberately minimalist and superbly integrated, allowing the origin and vintage to take center stage without compromise. As a result, the Premier Cru displays a grand Côte-de-Nuits style – mineral, silky, with a long, elegant finish and exceptional aging potential.
