Louis Billard's Saint-Romain Blanc 2024 is a straightforward and expressive Chardonnay, clearly focused on freshness and mineral tension. The higher-altitude vineyards of Saint-Romain benefit from a cooler climate and chalky soils, ideal conditions for a white Burgundy with precision and a vibrant structure.
In the glass, the wine appears elegant and focused. Bright fruit and fresh citrus notes form the aromatic core, accompanied by floral and subtly nutty hints. On the palate, it has a delicate creaminess but remains consistently fresh and clear due to its lively acidity. A chalky, slightly saline minerality adds extra tension and extends into the long, precise finish.
