Position

Styria is one of Austria's most diverse wine regions. The area boasts steep slopes, volcanic soils, calcareous terroirs, and a Pannonian-Mediterranean climate that imparts vibrant acidity, complex aromas, and mineral depth to its wines. Styria is particularly renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon, Welschriesling, and Pinot Noir varieties, which enjoy international acclaim thanks to meticulous craftsmanship and sustainable viticulture.

Grape varieties

Although Pinot Noir (also known as Blauburgunder) isn't one of Styria's classic wines, it has been gaining ground in recent years. It impresses with its delicate and elegant character, red berry aromas, fine acidity, mild tannins, and light to medium body.
