The Gevrey-Chambertin “La Perrière” 1er Cru 2024 from Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini is a fine and profound Pinot Noir, combining the powerful personality of Gevrey-Chambertin with remarkable elegance. The Premier Cru vineyard La Perrière is located directly next to Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru and is characterized by a calcareous, stony subsoil.
The 2024 vintage shows less pure power and more precision and finesse. Red cherries, raspberries, and darker forest berries form the fruity core. These are complemented by floral notes, delicate herbs, and a subtle earthy spice.
On the palate, the wine presents itself as fresh and clearly structured. The tannins are fine and precise, while the vibrant acidity lends tension to the fruit. Particularly characteristic is the wine's mineral side: stony and slightly spicy nuances give it depth and extend into the long, elegant finish.
Already expressive when young, it also possesses very good potential for longer bottle aging.
