Description
The Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2024 is the entry-level red wine of the house, yet it already clearly bears Fourrier's signature. The grapes come from their own Pinot Noir parcels around the Côte de Nuits. Even with this regional appellation, the same care is taken as with the Village and Premier Cru wines: healthy grapes, precise selection, and as little intervention as possible during vinification are crucial.
The 2024 vintage in Burgundy was characterized by a cool, damp growing season and significant disease pressure. Yields were consequently small. Consistent work in the vineyard and selection during harvest were therefore crucial. Stylistically, the vintage produces a particularly fresh and transparent side of Pinot Noir.
In the cellar, Fourrier focuses on careful maturation and a restrained use of new oak. This keeps the Bourgogne Pinot Noir focused on fruit, freshness, and origin. The 2024 is a fine, straightforward, and elegant Burgundy that offers an excellent introduction to the Domaine's style.
