Bertrand Machard de Gramont's Nuits-Saint-Georges “Aux Allots” 2023 is a characterful Pinot Noir that combines the typical structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges with delicate and elegant fruit. It presents itself not as overly powerful, but balanced, precise, and with a beautiful drinkability.
On the nose, juicy cherries, raspberries, and dark berries take center stage, accompanied by floral notes, delicate herbs, and a subtle spice. With some aeration, the wine increasingly develops earthy and stony nuances, which lend it additional depth.
On the palate, the Aux Allots is juicy and structured. The tannins are present but finely etched and are accompanied by a lively freshness. Red fruit and darker berries combine with spicy, herbaceous, and mineral notes, making the wine simultaneously concentrated and elegant.
