"Les Cazetiers" is one of Gevrey-Chambertin's most esteemed Premier Cru sites, producing Pinot Noirs that exceptionally combine power, depth, and Burgundian finesse. The limestone and clay-rich soils impart a distinctive mineral tension and a structured yet very precise style to the wine. Boyer-De Bar interprets the site with a conscious focus on terroir and elegance – prioritizing balance and transparency over massive extraction.
The 2022 Premier Cru is open and harmonious, yet incredibly focused and energetic. The Pinot Noir combines juicy red and darker fruit with subtle spice, silky structure, and vibrant freshness. Despite its concentration, the wine never appears heavy or massive, but rather very clear and controlled in its construction. It is precisely this combination of Gevrey power and ethereal elegance that makes "Les Cazetiers" so captivating.
