Description
Weingut Kurek's Blanc de Meunier brut nature 2019 deliberately distinguishes itself from the classic sparkling wine style. Single-varietal Meunier is rarely found and here displays an astonishingly precise, almost cool elegance, shaped by the special climate around Lake Constance.
The long maturation on the lees gives the sparkling wine depth and a fine, creamy structure, without losing its freshness. As a Brut Nature, the style remains uncompromisingly dry and very puristic – clear, mineral, and with immense tension.
Kurek focuses on a reduced vinification process and a lot of patience, which makes the sparkling wine more reminiscent of high-quality grower champagnes than classic German Winzersekt. Very fine, straightforward, and with a long, saline finish.
