In the glass, the Marienburg Fahrlay-Terrassen GG 2023 from Clemens shines a radiant pale yellow, almost golden, a concentration of ancient Riesling vines on blue slate-strewn terraces. The nose immediately reveals the terroir's signature: damp slate, sea breeze, and delicate violets, underscored by ripe grapefruit and a hint of lavender.
On the palate, a fascinating balance unfolds – juicy pear meets tart ginger spice, while the mineral salinity of the slate precisely structures the wine. The acidity is vibrant, the finish crystalline and impressively long. A Grand Cru that captures the essence of the Moselle in every sip.
