Description
The Pündericher Nonnengarten is one of the finest Riesling sites around Marienburg, producing wines that often appear a little more open and approachable than the stricter slate parcels of Clemens Busch. The weathered slate soils nevertheless lend the wine a clear mineral tension and that typical cool Mosel elegance.
In 2023, the Riesling is incredibly lively and precise. The wine appears juicy and vibrant, yet at the same time finely structured and very harmonious. Instead of opulent fruit, Clemens Busch deliberately focuses on herbal spice, saline minerality, and a transparent, terroir-driven style.
The vinification remains minimalist and uncompromisingly focused on its origin. As a result, the Nonnengarten shows a lot of finesse, cool tension, and a long, finely mineral finish with a typical purist Mosel signature.

Delicate aromas of white peach, green apple and citrus fruits, underpinned by fine slate minerality and subtle herbs.
Juicy and precise with lively acidity, notes of lime and apricot dominate and are accompanied by distinct slate minerality; the semi-dry style ensures a round, long finish.
Recommended with fried char with herb butter, scallops on fennel, and Asian dishes with ginger and lemongrass.
