Description
The Ried Witscheiner Herrenberg is one of the coolest and highest Sauvignon Blanc sites in Southern Styria. The steep slopes and rich limestone soils around Witschein lend the wine a distinctive mineral tension and a very precise, elegant style.
The 2022 vintage presents itself as particularly clear and focused. The Sauvignon Blanc appears taut and straightforward, yet also profound and harmoniously structured. Instead of loud aromatics, Polz deliberately emphasizes freshness, minerality, and a fine South Styrian elegance.
The restrained vinification allows the origin of the site to clearly stand out. This gives the Witscheiner Herrenberg great precision, cool tension, and a long, mineral finish with great aging potential.
