The Ried Gamitz is one of the most exciting Muskateller sites in Southern Styria. The chalky soils and the cool altitude give the Gelber Muskateller an exceptionally precise and elegant style. Instead of pure aromatics, the site focuses more on minerality, freshness, and a fine structure.
The 2021 vintage produced particularly clear and focused wines. The Muskateller appears lively and exciting, yet at the same time calm and harmoniously structured. It is precisely the combination of fine spice, cool freshness, and mineral depth that makes it very distinctive.
Lackner-Tinnacher works organically and with great restraint in the cellar, so that the origin and vintage remain clearly discernible. As a result, the Ried Gamitz shows a modern, terroir-driven interpretation of the Gelber Muskateller – elegant, precise, and with a long, animating finish.
