The 2021 Welschriesling Franz Lackner is a tribute to its Styrian origin and the signature style of the Lackner-Tinnacher winery. The grapes come from cool South Styrian vineyards with limestone and slate-rich soils, which give the wine a clear structure and fine mineral tension.
The 2021 vintage produced particularly precise and elegant wines. The Welschriesling appears calm and focused, yet lively and very harmoniously structured. Instead of simple fruit, the wine deliberately emphasizes freshness, structure, and a straightforward style.
Lackner-Tinnacher works organically and with great restraint in the cellar to ensure that the origin and vintage remain clearly perceptible. As a result, the Franz Lackner displays great elegance, mineral clarity, and a long, animating finish with a distinctive character.
