Ried Klausen is one of the most elegant Pinot Blanc sites in the Styrian Volcanic Land. The volcanic soils around Straden and the cool microclimate give the wine a precise structure, fine minerality, and remarkable tranquility. As a 1STK site, Klausen stands for clear origin character and a particularly terroir-driven style.
The 2023 vintage presents itself as taut and yet very harmonious. The Pinot Blanc appears focused and profound, without seeming heavy. Instead of overt fruit, Neumeister deliberately focuses on elegance, balance, and a fine, almost salty tension.
Organic viticulture and restrained vinification underline the origin of the site and give the wine a clear, modern signature. As a result, Ried Klausen shows great finesse, mineral depth, and a long, calm finish with great development potential.
