Description
Ried Sernau König is one of the great Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in Southern Styria. The steep slopes around Ehrenhausen, with their calcareous soils and cool microclimate, produce wines with enormous precision, mineral depth, and great tension. As a Grosse STK Lage (GSTK), Sernau König stands for uncompromising regional character and great aging potential.
The 2022 vintage showcases the site with particular focus and elegance. The wine appears dense and profound, yet at the same time taut and clearly structured. Instead of expressive fruit, Tement deliberately emphasizes minerality, structure, and a cool, almost salty style.
Biodynamic viticulture and minimal cellar intervention underscore the wine's puristic character. As a result, Sauvignon Blanc Sernau König exhibits great tranquility, precision, and an almost Burgundian elegance with a long, complex finish.
