Lage
The soils in the region of the Harkamp winery are characterized by a diversity that gives the wines their distinctive note. The vineyards extend over different soil types, including calcareous soils and gravel. This diversity provides the vines with optimal conditions to develop complex aromas. The soils in this region significantly contribute to the terroir character of the wines by producing a unique minerality and freshness. The harmonious combination of soil diversity and careful winemaking makes the wines from Harkamp outstanding representatives of Styrian wine tradition.
Rebsorten
The grapes for this special wine come from a south-facing basin location on Flamberg. Characterized by barren shell limestone soil, an elegant and profound Pinot Noir is created, with delicate fruit and a lot of minerality. Fully ripe cherries, red berries, and a hint of violets. Then mineral-stony notes, dry forest floor, and a hint of mint. On the palate, it is very cool, fresh, extremely light-footed, but with enormous concentration and density. Fine, polished tannins round off this special wine.
