The Josef Fischer Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Privat DAC 2022 comes from the best and highest terraced vineyards in Wachau, where sparse primary rock soils and large temperature differences between day and night ensure particularly characterful wines. For Josef Fischer, the "Privat" line stands for a strict selection of the best grapes and a particularly careful maturation with plenty of time and peace.
Typical of this wine is the combination of power, minerality, and precise structure. The vinification is deliberately understated, allowing the vineyard and vintage to clearly take center stage. As a result, despite its concentration, the wine always appears fine, calm, and elegant.
