Description
The Pichler-Krutzler Grüner Veltliner “Fass 43” 2021 is a special selection from the winery, representing a powerful yet very precise Wachau Grüner Veltliner. The name refers to the traditional barrel in which the wine was aged, giving it additional depth and structure without losing its clarity and origin.
The 2021 vintage is considered exceptionally elegant and long-lived. The long growing season and cool nights ensured a slow ripening of the grapes, producing a wine with great tension, balance, and mineral freshness.
Pichler-Krutzler relies on meticulous manual work in the vineyard and a restrained winemaking approach, ensuring that the characteristics of the vintage and the Wachau origin remain central. “Fass 43” combines power, structure, and finesse in a particularly harmonious way and has great aging potential.
