The Clemens Busch Riesling Marienburg GG 2023 displays a bright, pale yellow color, a hint of the steep grey slate terraces that lend this Grand Cru its distinctive mineral signature. The nose is immediately enveloped by cool slate spice, Darjeeling tea, and delicate notes of white peach, along with a touch of fresh grapefruit – a bouquet that perfectly reflects the sunny yet humid 2023 growing season.
On the palate, a fascinating balance unfolds between ripe pear, juicy citrus fruit, and an almost creamy texture supported by the grey slate minerality. The acidity is lively and precise, the finish long, saline, and crystalline.
