Description
The Ried Kreutles is one of the finer and cooler Wachau vineyards and produces particularly elegant Grüner Veltliner with a clear mineral character. The combination of Danube influence, stony soils, and cool nights ensures plenty of tension and a precise, linear style.
The 2024 vintage shows the site as particularly harmonious and focused. The wine combines the power of a Smaragd with a fine, almost cool elegance, appearing very balanced and calm. Instead of opulent fruit, the focus here is more on spice, structure, and mineral depth.
Simon Gattinger opts for a puristic vinification to ensure that the origin of the site remains clearly palpable. As a result, the Kreutles appears very precise, long-lived, and typically Wachau in style.
