Description
The Ried Nussberg is one of the most important Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in Southern Styria. The steep, limestone-rich slopes around Ratsch give the wine a striking mineral tension and an exceptionally precise style. As a Grosse STK Lage (GSTK), the Nussberg stands for uncompromising origin character and enormous development potential.
The 2021 vintage produced particularly clear and focused wines. The Sauvignon Blanc appears taut and profound, yet calmly and elegantly structured. Instead of loud aromatics, Gross deliberately focuses on minerality, structure and a cool, salty elegance.
The reduced vinification emphasizes the origin of the site and gives the wine an almost Burgundian signature. As a result, the Ried Nussberg shows great precision, fine tension and a long, complex finish with exceptional depth and aging potential.
