Description
The Ried Steinbach is one of the most exciting Morillon sites in Southern Styria. The lean lime and slate soils, as well as the cool microclimate, lend the wine a precise structure and a striking mineral tension. It is precisely this combination that ensures an elegant, profound style with great aging potential.
The 2018 vintage produced powerful yet very well-balanced wines. The Morillon appears dense and complex, yet remains calm and focused. Instead of opulent fruit, Lackner-Tinnacher deliberately focuses on structure, minerality, and a fine Burgundian elegance.
The careful aging in wooden barrels supports the depth and texture of the wine, without overshadowing the origin of the site. As a result, Ried Steinbach shows great precision, saline tension, and a long, harmonious finish with impressive aging development.
