Description
Ried Welles is one of the most precise Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in Southern Styria. The lean lime and slate soils, as well as the cool microclimate around Gamlitz, give the wine a striking mineral tension and a very elegant, straightforward style.
The 2018 vintage produced concentrated and at the same time exceptionally balanced wines. The Sauvignon Blanc appears profound and complex, yet remains taut and focused. Instead of obvious aromatics, Lackner-Tinnacher consciously opts for structure, minerality, and a calm, terroir-driven elegance.
Organic farming and reduced winemaking emphasize the origin of the site and give the wine additional depth and length. As a result, Ried Welles shows great precision, salty tension, and a long, harmonious finish with great aging potential.
