The Kimmeridgian limestone soils around Chablis impart a striking saline minerality and a fresh, linear structure to the Chardonnay. Lavantureux consciously works in a terroir-driven and restrained manner, which makes the wine appear very transparent and lively.
The 2023 vintage is open and energetic, yet incredibly harmonious and focused in its structure. The Chardonnay combines delicate freshness with subtle spice and a clear, chalky tension.
